Have you ever heard “The more you know, the more you know how much you don’t know”? Well, that’s kind of how I feel about parenting; the more I’m a parent, the more I realize I don’t know what I’m doing. So when I was asked to write on the topic of parenting and faith, I didn’t feel qualified at all! I don’t feel like I know how to lead my kids spiritually, much less tell someone else how to lead their kids. However, God is qualified, so we must stay in His Word so He can raise our kids through us.
One of the most difficult things about moving to a new city is finding a new faith community. Once the bags and boxes are unpacked and the mail is forwarded, you may find yourself looking for a whole new group of friends. Chances are you not only left behind a job and place to live when you moved, but you probably left behind some of the people nearest and dearest to your heart. So, here are some simple ways you can find a new faith community and meet new people in your new place.
